9/17/2022 2022 program finalisedOur program is finalized (subject to any unexpected changes. It appears below but you can also pick it up at at the markets or most retailers along with the map for the Open Gardens.
Don't forget our Grand Finale Country Music Concert on Sunday at the Guyra Bowling Club. Fishing prizes and raffles will be drawn just prior to the start of the concert at 4pm. Our first official function will be the TAsting Soiree at GALA on Friday 7th October. Taste locally made cheeses, smokedtrout and tomato dishes and gin tasting. 9/12/2021 TroutFest is full steam ahead for 2021The committee is taking bookings for market day at the Bowling Club, for art entries to the Troutfest competition and for yarnbombing our main street.
Book your kids into the fishing clinic. This year there are two sessions and a parent is encouraged to stay and participate too. Best of all its FREE and the kids will get a rod to keep as well as a big fish (if they catch it first!). The committee prides inself in trying to cater for a wide range of interests with activities all weekend. Gardens, old cars, poetry, music, art food, and fishing activities are all part of the scene over the weekend. 7/12/2021 TroutFest is back!Come and join us for a delightful weekend of entertainment and enjoy the beautiful New England landscapes.
We are a COVID safe event so please adhere to all Covid related directions from staff and stall holders, register with the QR code and make sure you use entry and exits as directed. 6/13/2020 TroutFest postponed to 2021Due to corona virus restrictions and the drought's effect on fish stocks we have postponed the 2020 festival to 2021.
Details will be released as soon as available in early 2021. We may not have a lot of water for fishing but we are going to have some fun over the long weekend in October. We have a fantastic dam for the kid's and adult's fishing clinic on Friday 4th October.
You don't need water to have a funtastic market day with music food and kids activities. Come and join us on Saturday 5th October at the Guyra Bowling Club and again on Sunday 6th October for a car boot sale. Don't miss our night of fun and laughter at the Bowling Club courtesy of TroutFest. Its a free night of entertainment sponsored by TroutFest and supported by Donna's Bistro who will provide a finger food special before the event begins. Tickets for the show are at the Bowling Club and bookings for Donna's smorgasbord meal are with Donna's Bistro at the club. While your in town check out the Art exhibition and the Quilting and Craft Show in the main street of Guyra and enjoy some good food at one of our coffee shops, pubs or restaurants. They are all doing something special over the festival weekend to highlight our trout products. There will be music too so come and enjoy some country hospitality in Guyra over the long weekend. There is plenty of accommodation available in Guyra over the weekend. Check out the accommodation options. 2/26/2019 2019_2020Guyra TroutFest Inc will hold its AGM on July, 2nd 2019 at the Guyra Bowling Club. The date of the next festival will be announced following that meeting. If you would like to be involved you will be made very welcome. If you have ideas or suggestions please come along and share them. We look for ward to seeing you there.
